TIMMY MAYS is a collection of leather goods and accessories, thoughtfully designed and skillfully handcrafted in the San Francisco Bay Area. After years of searching for the perfect bag, I gave up and decided to make my own. In 2010, I paired my artsy abilities with my sewing know-how and ended up with a finished piece. Friends and family took interest, encouraging me to make more. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to design and build products that are tasteful, versatile and well-constructed.

My formal educational background is in Illustration and Animation, but my true passion is centered around creating wearable objects that are useful and practical. In school, I developed an appreciation for textiles which naturally progressed to other materials; leather included. I’m influenced by patterns and textures, Art Nouveau and Gothic architecture. Timmy, my dad, was a musician and artist at heart. He taught me the importance of dedication, hard work and doing what I love.
